Hot Runner Assembler - Georgetown, ON
Summary
The Hot Runner Assembler is responsible for performing operations in preparation, combination, and connection of various components into a complete Hot Runner System. Electrical, water pressure, heat and pneumatic tests are essential to ensure production meets customer and company standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare mold plate by cleaning, deburring, inserting plugs, leader pins, bushings, name plate, electrical box, and perform a plate water pressure test
• Ensure manifold plate thickness and nozzle bore depths meet correct specifications
• Prepare hot runner systems components - install seals, and thermocouples, torque assembly, and torque
• Ensure nozzles are installed within tolerance limit
• Troubleshoot by performing turning, milling, drilling, and/or grinding as required to accurately fit components to the hot runner system
• Prepare electrical box, install nozzle wires in corresponding zones as per electrical drawing specifications
• Conduct electrical tests
• Perform heat tests
• Perform a pneumatic tests
Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years post-apprenticeship experience, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent organizational skills are required. Must be capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety policy and procedures, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

You will support international mold makers and injection molders to optimize the production of plastic parts for all industries (packaging, medical, automotive, appliance).

Qualifications
Minimum of (5) years plastic processing and knowledge of thermoplastic materials for hot runner injection molded plastic parts,

• Working knowledge of Solid Works / CAD
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Additional languages are an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
